10 So Pilate says to Him, “You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?” 11 Jesus answered him, “You would not have any authority against[a] Me unless it[b] had been given to you from above. For this reason the one having handed Me over to you has a greater sin”.
Pilate Tries To Release Jesus, But The Jewish Leaders Stop Him
12 From this time[c], Pilate was seeking to release Him, but the Jews shouted saying, “If you release this One, you are not a friend of Caesar. Everyone making himself the king is speaking-against Caesar”.
